CT Scan

The internal bleeding issue still isn’t resolved. I am taking two medications that will help if it is a bleeding ulcer, but so far they have not helped. The pain in a bunch of different spots all over my upper and lower abdomen. Each spot is about a quarter of an inch round, except the one in my upper side that covers a few inches. Sometimes the pain is constant, other times it isn’t. The smaller pains like to take turns. One or two will hurt for 30 seconds, and then a different spot or two take a turn. It’s really a fun time for all. Sometimes the pain will come on really severely out of nowhere and it makes me curl over in pain. Most days, I am in pain, so I feel like if it is enough to bother me, there is probably something wrong. I had issues with abdominal pain last year. The larger pain in my upper abdomen is the same pain as I had last year, but all these other little pains are completely different. Last year they checked out all of my abdominal organs really well. I had an ultrasound, blood labs, and an endoscopy. Nothing came up. Eventually, it just went away on its own without any medication except pain medication. My doctor has decided we should do a CT scan with oral and IV contrast. Hopefully it shows what is going on so we can get it fixed up! I’m fine with my pre-existing health problems – I don’t need stomach issues!

    • I’m more than a little annoyed I have to have another test. I have more than enough tests under my belt, and a 3 inch CRAMMED binder to prove it. At the same time, I’m grateful I have insurance and can have the test.

  1. I’ve also had random sharp stabbing pains, always in the same place though. Nothing showed up on two ultrasounds and they gave up looking. I still get it and it’s still a mystery. It started at the exact same time as the lyme, so I think it’s a co infection. :/

Your turn - what do you think?
